If you live in the Chicagoland area, consider Living Sea Maintenance for all of your custom aquarium needs. This spans from new aquarium installation to maintenance of your pre-existing aquarium. We are capable of creating whatever you can imagine.

Requesting An Aquarium Quote:

Visit Living Sea Aquarium seven days a week to see a large selection of aquarium shapes and sizes. Or simply email us your contact information and one of our highly trained staff will contact you to set up an appointment. We can help you with all aspects of designing and maintaining your new aquarium. We are available Monday through Friday for consultations at your location. An initial consultation will be performed for new construction, or to evaluate an existing aquarium and its equipment. We will also answer any questions and make recommendations at this time. There is a one time consultation fee of $75, half of which will be credited back to you on your first service. Our goal is to provide you with the best equipment and knowledge base to get the job done right the first time.

We hire and train only the best personnel to maintain your aquarium. We are sure you will be satisfied with our services, as are the hundreds of maintenance customers we regularly service. We have been maintaining aquariums in homes and businesses around the Chicagoland area for over 12 years and we are proud to say that our first account is still a happy Living Sea Maintenance customer today.

Professional Services Available:
• Available five days a week for regular appointments.
• Chicagoland's largest aquarium store, come in and see what are capable of accomplishing.
• Best quality and selection of livestock available. Be it rare or unusual, if you want it we will find it. 
• We are a fully insured maintenance company.
• Large professional staff to meet all of your needs.
• We are equipped with a 24-hour message number that is checked at 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday. This is where you can leave a message for your Service Technician about supply needs or specific fish you want him to bring on your next service.
Service Area:
Our service area includes all of the Chicagoland area. Most likely we are already servicing an aquarium near you. Just ask and we will be happy to check if your aquarium is in our service area.
What Is Included:
• Water quality test. Tests vary based on aquarium type.
 
• 20% water change and gravel clean.
• Clean algae from the inside of the aquarium walls.
• Visually check all livestock for stress or disease.
• Complete all paperwork associated with service and leaves copy so everyone is informed of what was done and any needs or concerns are expressed.
• We also deliver and acclimate all new livestock, as well as deliver food or any other necessary supplies.
• We will answer any questions you may have.
Livestock Guarantee: 
If we are maintaining your aquarium, we guarantee all livestock from Living Sea Aquarium for seven days. In the event that something happens the animal will be replaced according to our current Seven Day Livestock Guarantee.
If you wish to pick out the livestock and take it home with you, please bring in a water sample to be tested at the time of purchase to satisfy our Seven Day Livestock Guarantee policy.

Professional Services Rates:
The regular service call rate is $65 per hour, per man for all aquarium services provided. After the first hour we bill in fifteen minute intervals. This rate is based on labor only. All materials, livestock, travel time and, if necessary, parking fees are additional charges.
Any work deemed as custom will be billed at $95 per hour, per man from the time we arrive at your home of business.
Any work performed in the store prior to delivery will be billable at $65 per hour. Complex installations work requiring personnel other than your service representative will be billed at $95 per hour.
Travel Charges:
Travel charges are based on round trip travel times. Prices vary depending on your location. When a service call is out of our normal service area, travel charges are based on $65 per hour from the time we leave Living Sea Aquarium to the time we arrive back to Living Sea Aquarium.
 
New Installations:
New aquarium installation labor rates are based on $95 per hour. Installation charges will vary due to differences in the complexity of the job. In additional or special equipment is used, such as trucks or forklifts, additional charges will be applied.
 
Emergency Visits:
This rate is for any visit not scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. It is available only during normal Living Sea Aquarium business hours. The current emergency visit charge is $130 per man, per hour and is only billed in whole hour increments.
 
What If Two Technicians Are Needed?
Some aquariums may require two service technicians due to location, inhabitants or the size of the aquaruium. We may also schedule two technicians if the job can be done more efficiently.
 
No Show Fees:
 
A 24 hour notice is required for all service cancellations. If our technician drives to your home or business and we are unable to service the aquarium you will be charged for the first hour of service and travel time. Should this happen, you will have to call the to reschedule your appointment.
 
Parking:
With all the equipment we bring, it is important that we park as close as possible to the service area. If we have to pay for parking, you will be billed the exact amount we were charged. If parking is free or validated parking is available we will gladly use it.
 
Deliveries:
Yes, we will gladly deliver livestock, food or any other supplies you need. Please call at least 24 hours in advance of your next service appointment and we will bring them along at no additional charge.
 
Paperwork:
Upon the completion of our service visit you will be given a detailed Invoice/Maintenance Sheet. On this sheet you will find a weaht of useful information; such as, water test results, review of services performed, recommended service on our next visit as well as the date of our next service visit. After each service you or an authorized representative will need to sign the Invoice/Maintenance Sheet as approval of job completion to satisfaction. A copy of these forms will be given to you for your records and one comes back here for our records of your account.a
